I am a first grade teacher at our school in Kentucky. I have a passion for teaching and love my job! I am always searching for ways to improve my students' learning. This is where you can help! I am raising money to purchase iPads for my classroom. I want my students to be excited and passionate about learning. I want to create a classroom environment that is student centered and encourages creativity and problem solving skills. Most of all, I want to help encourage and nurture future community and world leaders.
My Project
There are SO many uses for iPads in the classroom! We will use the iPads for many apps/websites that help the students practice and master the content. For exame, the iPads will allow my students to create a virtual portfolio via Seesaw. They will be able to work collaboratively during work station time. I will be able to differentiate the instruction in order to meet the individual needs of my students...the list of benefits could go on and on.
With the use of technology my students will have the entire world at their fingertips!
Technology is not only engaging for the students, but also helps give each student a voice in the classroom. We will use apps such as Flipgrid to accomplish this. The amount of authentic learning experiences are endless!
