My students need a carpet so they have something to sit on, an easel for writing and reading activities, and a pocket chart stand. Thank you so much for helping!
Every child deserves excellence. At my high poverty school there are sadly no resources to buy necessary and basic materials to assist with my desire to give that to each student. Each day my students seek to do their best and by helping to fund this project, you can help provide the best for them.
My students are energetic, adorable, and angelic.
They curiosity astounds me and every day I learn so many new things from them. Our school is very old and needs many repairs and supplies that aren't available. Despite the hardships in their own personal lives or lack of resources available to them at school, my students are eager to learn every day and diligent in seeking knowledge. They are so appreciative about even the smallest of things, I can only imagine their excitement should our classroom receive these supplies!
My Project
With the addition of carpet seating squares, an easel, and pocket charts, student achievement and self-mastery will increase thanks to the use of these supplies. With carpet seating squares students will be able to have their own "spot" for lessons and learn self-management and organizational skills. An easel will allow students to participate in class writing projects and develop critical writing skills. Pocket charts will allow for independent work and mastery of various language arts and phonics related skills concepts as part of the common core standards.
Having these necessary supplies would mean the world to my students, and their teacher.
Regardless of the "lack" of what is needed for my students, their happiness and joy in learning make up for anything they don't have. Please grant this wish for them and help my students have a great year of excellence in learning by funding these fundamentals for our classroom. There is an achievement gap AND an opportunity gap in low-income, high poverty schools. Help that stop today!
