Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

"I got a 100% on my AR test!" These are the words I want to hear from my students. They get very excited every time they tell me this news. I teach at a Title 1 school and many of my students come to me not knowing their letter sounds and sight words.

My First Grade students have begun to embrace the Accelerated Reader program at our school.

They love reading books and are beginning to grow in their reading levels. I want them to have all of the opportunities to succeed in their reading endeavors.

My Project

My 1st grade students are active participants in the Accelerated Reading program at our school. In order for them to continue in this quest they need the equipment for them to grow.

We need headphones for them to hear the computer , books on their level, and bins to help us know what books are on their level.

These materials will help my eager readers succeed in obtaining their goals by becoming independent readers. I am always looking for ways to make children excited about reading.

My goal is for them to become lifelong readers. Help them achieve this goal!
