My Students

My classroom is a Head Start class normally with 20 children. Right now I have only 12. The children come from different cultures, backgrounds, and families. I am working on building a room that is safe and where they can learn. I want the room to be exciting and a fun place to learn.

The children in my room are excited to be at school, and I want it to be a positive learning experience for them.

I am trying to nurture a love of learning. It is important to have materials they can use and play with. The early years are so important for their learning, and I want them to love learning about new things and enjoy coming to school.

My Project

Children are learning math skills at a young age. They are learning to compare length and height early on. I want to give them different materials to help them learn measuring skills.

The Dinosaur measuring kit will help children to use bones to measure and see which is longer.

The Eggs can be used to compare and see which one is taller and which one is smaller. The worms too can be used to measure, short and long. These will also help to increase vocabulary skills. These are important skills for children in early math.
