My students need high quality math manipulatives to support early mathematical thinking and expression. The Lakeshore Math Counters Library and Lakeshore Light Table Manipulative Center will support my young learners.
In our Title I school, my students are faced with many challenges. My classroom is a learning environment where they feel safe to play, learn, and grow. Many of my students are coming to school for the very first time. They all have individual needs and unique personalities.
My students are curious about the world around them.
They enjoy hands-on learning activities, listening, acting out stories, creating beautiful artwork, and dancing every day!
The most wonderful quality of my students are the friendships they make on the very first day of school. I want their first experience at school to be a positive experience and one that encourages a love of life-long learning.
My Project
Young children learn best through play and hands-on learning experiences. The Lakeshore Math Counters Library and the Lakeshore Light Table Manipulative Center will allow my young learners many opportunities to do this in a fun and developmentally appropriate way.
Exploring early math concepts at a young age will help lay the foundation for future success.
These high quality math manipulatives will let my young learners count, sort, problem solve, and be curious learners through play and provide multiple hands-on learning experiences that will promote cognitive development as well as social development.
I am so excited to share these learning opportunities with my young learners!
