My Students
Do you remember learning your numbers and counting to 100 in kindergarten? Today these students need to learn so much more than I ever thought of learning at the age of 5.
My students are from an urban environment and have free or reduced lunch. They attend a public charter school in Missouri. They are eager and love to learn new math skills. Unfortunately my school does not have the funds to provide new resources to classroom teachers.
My Project
The variety of counters, number sequencing cards and ten frame activity boards will be used during large and small group time as new skills are being taught. As my students strengthen their skills these activities will be transferred to math center time to allow them to be more creative and allow them to practice with a more hands-on approach.
Your donation will make a huge impact on my students. My hope is to use these manipulative's and activities to show my kids how important it is learn math and to make it fun. Thank you in advance!
