Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I want to make a difference in the life of at-risk youth, and my classroom is where it all begins! My students are wonderful kids who are eager to learn, but need technological tools to help them be successful. We are a Title I School, and in our seventh grade math classroom technology is a key component to keep my students engaged and excited about our lessons. Our goal this year is to have 1:1 technology for our students, and we are SO close! The more technology I have available to utilize, the more students I can reach!

My Project

With these Chromebooks we will get further towards our goal of 1:1 technology in our classroom. Being able to use Chromebooks in the classroom is a huge motivation tool for our students, especially for skill practice and review. As a class, we will be able to do so many more great lessons with 1:1 technology. This will also help our students learn crucial computer literacy skills and be able to complete assignments using Google Classroom. Hopefully we will be able to utilize Google Classroom this school year, to reduce the amount of paper we need during lessons in our room.
