Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

During the school year I teach an origami lesson to my seventh grade art students. Every student learns how to make a paper crane. I tell the students a brief summary of "Sadako and the 1000 Paper Cranes". The students were very interested and wanted to know more about the story so I told them they could check out the book from their local library. The students even created 1000 paper cranes like the story. This year, while my students are learning the to make origami cranes I would also like to make the book available for any student who wishes to read it. This is why I am asking for 50 copies of the story of "Sadako and the 1000 Paper Cranes." It will expand my art library as well as let any one of my 250 students borrow the book to read.
