My Students
I teach a second grade class which is full of students who want to do well! Our community is very rural and in a high needs area, which means that resources are greatly needed and appreciated.
Our class is very diverse and full of students who want to do their best everyday and want to succeed!
My students are coming into the classroom with the optimism of wanting to be proficient readers, writers and mathematicians!
We are willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that every student in our class is successful and we celebrate the growth of every individual student in our class!
My Project
We are requesting three Amazon fire tablets for one on one learning. My students will be able to use tablets to enhance their learning and offer opportunities to use technology to read interactive stories and answer questions. They will also be able to play educational, standard based games that give additional practice on standards that we are currently learning in the classroom.
The opportunity to use tablets gives them a more hands on approach to practicing reading and math.
It also gives them the opportunity to listen to stories which is essential to my students who are still learning English. Since the majority of my students are ELL, it would be highly beneficial to our class to have tablets in our classroom.
