I am a preschool teacher with a classroom of 4 and 5-year-old students. These students come from low-income families that face many challenges on a daily basis. I am looking to provide a variety of ways to give them quality learning experiences while preparing them for kindergarten.
My students are imaginative, playful, and have a desire to learn and create.
They all receive free breakfast, lunch, and a snack, that helps to equip their bodies to be able to learn. Through positive attention and hands-on learning, my students explore and learn about a variety of topics.
Many materials are not an option at home, so we do our best to provide what we can for them while they are at school. We want to make learning fun and set them up for a successful future and continue their love of learning.
My Project
My students are currently remote learning and while I'd love to provide them with classroom basics, there isn't enough to go around. This has been a problem I've been facing all year and funds keep getting tighter as we navigate through this year.
Help give my students materials they can practice doing math with in the comfort of their own homes, while we learn together via Zoom.
With the erasable pockets, markers and counters we will be able to continue building the foundation for math skills as they prepare for kindergarten.
