My Students

The children in my classroom, especially boys, enjoy playing with blocks during our center time. We have few unit blocks and the ones that we do have are in poor condition. We need new blocks for children to play with that encourage their academic and social development.

I teach kindergarten in an Oklahoma school that values teaching to the multiple intelligences.

Learning is a social process in our classroom. The children in my classroom love to work together and build but need opportunities to interact with each other and learn social skills. They enjoy playing with blocks but need blocks that are in good condition to build with.

My Project

I am requesting a starter set of unit blocks for our classroom to be used during our daily center time. These blocks will allow children to develop both academically and socially. The blocks will help children build fine motor skills, explore mathematical concepts such as geometry, and interact socially as they share and cooperate.
