My students come to school excited to learn every day! They are such a joy to have in the classroom and I love coming to work each morning.
I teach in an urban public school and 85% of my students are eligible for free or reduced lunch.
We are a full inclusion school which means we have students with a wide range of disabilities fully included in all of our classrooms. My students bring so many strengths to the classroom - 67% of them speak a language other than English at home.
My students begin their day with math centers. It is so important to have fun, engaging, hands-on math games for them to play so that they are excited to come in each day!
Right now we have very few math games so I make them all myself.
They are not as bright and interesting as the "real games" in my project and the students get bored of them very quickly. My students deserve to have games that challenge them and that they are excited about. This project includes games to develop students' number sense, knowledge of shapes and geometry, ability to count and measure, and ability to compare numbers.
