We are a rural Title I school, and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. My students are creative, responsible, and eager to learn about and explore the world around them.
In my classroom, I strive to create an engaging, nurturing, hands-on learning environment that fosters student success.
Due to the high poverty rate in our community, many of my students need additional academic support to close the achievement gap. I am always looking for ways to make learning fun, engage their minds, and motivate them to do their very best. The key to helping these students be successful is to create a classroom environment where they are comfortable to learn and grow. My students depend on me to provide them with these experiences, and I will do all I can to help them.

My Project
Osmo Genuis Kits are fun, interactive, learning games that my students will be able to access during daily independent learning centers for reading and math. The Osmo Genius kit includes an iPad base and mirror that easily connects to our classroom iPads. Osmos will be available to my students during our STEM morning activity time as a way to show off their creativity and design skills. Osmo Numbers is a wonderful program that allows my students to explore number sense and build a strong foundation for addition and subtraction. Students will use this program during daily math centers. Osmo Words is a program that allows students to practice using sound and letter knowledge to become strong spellers and readers. Students will use this program during daily phonics centers.
The Osmo Genius Kits will provide my students with exciting number and word challenges.
Students love to work together on the Osmo learning games, which promotes teamwork and cooperation. This program will provide an independent, skill based, math and reading station for students. The addition of these 3 Osmos Genuis Kits will give more of my students access to this exciting learning opportunity.
