My Students

10 ways to become a better reader: Read, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read, Read!

These books would be used by students in the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade who's reading levels are significantly below their peers.

They are students who would like to read, but are unable to read grade level print. They have had negative experiences with reading because the reading is too hard.

My Project

These resources will allow for special education students to read text at an appropriate level. It will allow for them to feel successful in their reading abilities. Over all they will enjoy reading more. Reading is a life skill and these students will have the skills they will need to be a reader/learner for life. These books will allow for comprehension lessons, decoding lessons and fluency lessons. The students have goals on their Individual Education Plans to improve on these areas.

You will always need to be able to read. If these students do not learn now, they may give up as they progress through intermediate and high school years. Lets allow these kids to feel successful and have the appropriate materials to work with.
