My Students

Will you fill our heads by filling our hands? Learning about the animal groups will be more memorable, fun, and meaningful if we can hold them in our hands, sort, and group them.

We are a group of kindergarten students, living in a high poverty area, in a very small town.

Everyone knows everyone else and we are a very close-knit group. A lot of our parents, and even grandparents, went to this same school. We are a bright group, with a lot of potential, and we love learning about science through role-playing, songs, and hands-on activities. Studying the animals groups is our favorite unit.

My Project

Pictures are nice, but when your five, a toy animal to hold onto is much more meaningful and fun. We will be able to hold, sort, talk and write about animals much easier if we have them in our hand. Learning to group animals by their characteristics is just the first lesson we will learn in this unit. We will also learn about the importance of animals to humans and why it is important that we take care for them and their habitats.

Learning about the world around us is the most important thing we can do at school.

When your five-years-old there's a lot to learn. Your gifts will help us learn about animals. Now is the time to learn to develop a love, respect, and appreciation for animals and the many contributions they make to people.
