My Students

Creativity and beauty at the fingertips of children. An awesome and SAFE machine that will enhance the classroom environment.

I am a reading teacher in a Title One school, located in New York.

I teach students from Kindergarten through fifth grade, though I am primarily responsible for children in the second and third grades. My students are fabulous and eager workers, but desperately need an outlet for their creativity. However, with the tremendous demands being placed on children, our creativity has to also meet the new College and Career Readiness standards.

My Project

A simple machine that can create letters and shapes would be just the miracle that is needed. Imagine a second grader making a colorful book of all his vocabulary words. I'm sure these are words that won't ever be forgotten, but will also inspire that child to be excited about learning.

This project will effect so many wonderful children.

The ability to learn through creation is an awesome gift. A die-cut machine will not only effect my students, but through the beauty of displays, the entire school will benefit.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
