My Students

I would like to equip our classroom with up-to-date computers.

I teach adolescent students with severe disabilities in a high school serving a community comprised of a disproportionate number of low-income residents.

Because my students tend to be at risk in the area of computer literacy I would like to put them on equal footing today and in the future.

My Project

My students need one HP computer for my newly assigned school site. In order to give my students access to the educational software designed specifically for those with disabilities as well as the Internet, I am requesting HP computers. This request is for the second one of these HP computers. Each PC will enable one Special Education student to spend concentrated periods of time daily with programs such as "Interactive Books in CD", "Show Me Math", "Show Me Spelling", "Telling Time", "Everyday Life Skills", "Why Workers Succeed", "Social Skills at Work", "Independent Money management", and the internet.

Your help with computer technology will make it possible for the Special Education youth in my classroom to prepare for successful experiences in college and beyond through acquisition of much needed academic knowledge.
