I am a first year teacher at a small rural school. I teach two classes of science, two of history, and have two P.E. classes. I am responsible for all of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade P.E. classes; unfortunatly the school has no sports equipment for the students to use. I have tried to organzize some physical activities for them by using a basketball to play dodge ball and kickball. If you have ever played dodgeball/kickball with a basketball then you understand how hard and frustrating this can be. Most of my students would rather sit around and visit with each other instead of playing. I would really like to have some sports equipment that I could use to help get them more motivated and active. I would really love to get a volley ball set, soccor balls, and bases. These simple items would really help. Thank you in advance for your help.
