K-5 Music Class Needs Moving Mobile Sound

My students need an iPod and sound dock for a portable music system that is easy to transport from room to room.

My Students

Can you hear the music? I travel from classroom to classroom to teach music, but I do not have enough room on my cart to put the big CD player. It would be helpful to have all my music on the Ipod Touch that is on the Bose Dock system for easy transport.

I teach K-5 students and travel to three different schools in the same school district.

Each school is different. Two of the schools have over 50% of their students on free and reduced lunches. We have a high average of students who move in and out of the schools. Most of the students love music and enjoy what they learn.

My Project

If the items I have listed are donated to our school the kids will be able to have high quality portable music system available to them. I will be able to move freely with the sound system and will be able to serve over 400 students. The Ipod touch will allow me to download music from my music books and music I use for programs and allow me to carry it from school to school to use instead of a heavy, bulky CD player.

The donation that is requested will change my students lives by allowing them to hear music clearly on a high quality and portable system.

The students and I do several music programs throughout the school year and this will allow us to provide quality entertainment for our school, parents and community.
