Field Trip to Local Zoo
The cost of a trip to the L.A. Zoo for 60 students and their chaperones is $378, including <a target="new" href="http://www.donorschoose.org/html/fulfillment.htm" onclick="g_openWindow('http://www.donorschoose.org/html/fulfillment.htm', 300, 800, 'fulfillwindow');return false;">fulfillment</a>.
In first grade the students investigate about animals and their habitat. Our reading program also explores the theme of animals. We are a year round school and will begin our animal theme in August. As a unit opener to help motivate our students in their study of animals, we would like to take our students to the zoo.
Our students come from low income families and have not had the opportunity to visit the local zoo. We would like to provide this opportunity for them, but unfortunately, the zoo's charges for admission are out of our reach. Our school has the funds for the bus, but they do not have funding for the admission fee.
Any attention to our request will be appreciated. Thank you for you kind interest.
