Students fear adjectives, adverbs, and nouns. When asked about the various parts of speech, my students freeze and get a deer in the headlights stare.
I am a reading teacher at a rural Missouri school, and I work with struggling readers every day.
My students dislike learning about grammar and parts of speech. Even worse, they seem unable to remember the numerous rules and categories, so we end up spending hours reviewing. I want to provide my students with engaging activities that will make learning grammar fun.
I would like to give my students some fun games and activities to help teach grammar concepts, as well as the parts of speech. These materials would be colorful, interesting, and fun so that the students would want to learn. The more actively involved the students become, the more likely it is that the information will stick.
You will make it possible for my students to enjoy engaging materials that help teach grammar concepts.
With your help, they might actually look forward to a grammar lesson for a change!
