My Students

iPods have the ability to revolutionize traditional learning. In one little device, students are able to explore the world. I'm finishing my masters in educational technology and know how to turn technology into a powerful instrument for learning.

My students are drawn to technology.

They don't remember a time before smart phones and laptop computers, but looking around our classroom you would never know it. I've taken advantage of all the technology our school has to offer, but its not enough. My students come from all over the world. Many have gotten experience life outside of the suburbs, but at the same time, many have not. I want to use apps tat will encourage students to think beyond our classroom. I want them to explore and develop and individuals.

My Project

The apps store offers so many free apps that can be useful in the classroom. With The Weather Channel app, they can explore climates and track our weather. Words with Friends will build their spelling and vocabulary skills. They can play games, take quizzes, and watch videos with the BrainPop app. The opportunities are endless with flashcards, games, and Internet access. While flashcards are boring - a flashcard app is amazing!

Please help inspire and motivate my students.

They have a world of opportunities before them. A classroom should have as much technology as you probably have in your pocket right now!
