My Students

"The more you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go." (Dr. Seuss) This is our favorite quote and Dr. Seuss is my class's favorite author.

My students attend a Title One school in Florida.

We have a many students who receive free and reduced lunch. My students love to experience new stories and read books which they can relate to in their own lives. Each student is unique in his/her own way but they all fit together to make a wonderful "classroom family." Through the use of literature, my students are exposed to different things which they might not be able to experience within their everyday lives.

My Project

Through the use of these story telling kits my students will be exposed to new experiences through literature. My students will be able to retell stories through the use of finger puppets and story boards. These story book also include CD's and books which allow the student to read the story as well as listen to the stories. These kits will be used again and again for several years in the future.

Donations towards this project will give my students the needed resources to learn about the steps to retell a common story as well as be exposed to different experiences which they would not be able to normally experience within their daily lives.
