My Students

My students learn so much information in my class and they should be able to share their knowledge with others. I want to present them with new, creative ways to share the information that they have learned.

I work with mainly junior and senior honor students at a public high school in one of the largest cities in New Hampshire.

My students are bright and curious and extremely enjoyable to work with on a daily basis. Several of them are interested in pursuing careers in the medical field either as researchers, nurses, physical therapist, or veterinarians, just to name a few.

My Project

I am requesting two flip digital video cameras for the use in my classroom as well as for students to use outside of class for class projects. I think it is important that students learn to use technology since it is such a big part of our everyday lives. The students will be able to use the cameras in class to record labs and they will be able to borrow them for outside projects that are assigned in class. They will be used in cooperation with video editing software that is currently available on the school computers.

I would like to use these video cameras to enable my students to share what they have learned in class in a different way than through a traditional lab report or written assignment.

These items will give my students an opportunity to not only present the information that learn in class in a new way but also to think outside of the box as they develop video preventions.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
