My students need a carpet where each student has their own space so we can peacefully go on a magic carpet ride.
This project expired on September 22, 2010.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
Each day I read to my students. We pile onto the floor sitting in each others space and move around a lot while a person is reading. If I had a rug with allocated spaces we could sit in peace while we go on our journey in a book!
Refugees and high priority students make up the demographic of my second grade classroom.
My classroom is 100% free or reduced lunch. I spend my school money on classroom supplies for my students and there is none left to enrich our curriculum to make it interesting to the students. Please help encourage the love of reading in my students and prevent them from becoming frustrated because they are squished.
With lots of big, bold squares in 5 vibrant colors, this giant-sized carpet provides plenty of seating options for the whole class! The extra-roomy squares give each child lots of space to sit and play…and the color-coded rows make it easy to divide the class into small groups. The rugged, soil-resistant nylon carpets meet a Class I rating of NFPA 253 and fire-resistance standards of the UBC.
I absolutely love to read, and I am trying to pass that love of reading on to my students.
However, we have issues when we sit to read because they are frustrated from sitting on top of each other. Please help us space out and loose our frustrations.
