It's that time of year -- everyone is getting sick. All of my students are newly-arrived immigrants, and many of them do not have health insurance and can't afford to go to the doctor. With colds getting passed around my classroom as fast as love notes passed between Romeo and Juliet, coughs and sniffles have become the soundtrack to my day.

I bought a bottle of hand sanitizer and placed it near the door in my classroom, but with 150 students, it was gone in less than two weeks!

This wall-mounted hand sanitizer station is similar to those used in hospitals and airports. It is designed for high-traffic areas, and it will last much longer than the bottles I keep picking up at the drugstore!

Please, won't you help us keep the germs at bay by donating a hand sanitizer station (and refills!) to my classroom.
