This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I teach a Second Grade class in an urban public school in Missouri. We are an International Studies School with a diverse student population.
We currently are using an old dry erase board which leans up against the ancient, slate chalkboard. This dry erase board is cracked and peeling in places and is quite stained.
A new dry erase board will not only brighten up the classroom, but will help every student see the material presented from all areas of the room. I will also be able to use the board as a screen for our overhead projector. The new board will be attached to the wall, not leaning in an unstable manner.
Your donation will certainly help my students CLEARLY see models and instructions in their everyday lessons.
