I'm a fourth-grade lead teacher in an inclusion classroom. I'm also on the yearbook and field day committees. Most of my students are considered "Title One." My school is based on the head start model of instruction, where most of the instruction is child-centered and hands-on. My school's budget is very small, so I need as much help as I can get in order for my students to be successful.

Unlike most schools, my school is from Kindergarten to Fourth grade. When my student finish fourth grade they move on to a new school. So we have a moving up ceremony, end of the year trip and dance. It would be so great if we had a camcorder to capture these special moments and share with our parents and staff at the moving up ceremony.

A camcorder will capture all of the school trips, fun projects, and after-school activities and club events, such as the drama club, the photography club, the entrepreneur club, the cooking club, the elegant ladies' club, and many more. This camcorder will be an asset to my class and the school, because it will allow my students to share all these memories with their parents who could not be there to see it for themselves. Teaching in an urban school system, most of my parents are working parents and don't always have time to attend school events. Taking videos of the events and uploading them to the school's Web site will allow my hard-working parents to be in the loop, even though they were not there to see it. This camcorder will come in handy not only during school hours, but also during after-school clubs and activities.

Your donation will help me share students' learning and growth with their parents. It will also allow me to capture all the special moments and memories throughout their whole school experience, from Kindergarten to Fourth grade. My limited supply money does not come close to being able to fund the materials I need for this project.
