Microscope Lab

My students need microscope supplies such as slides, cover slips and specimens; plus resources that will help in sketching.

Students need hands on activities to prepare them for college. They can find tons of stuff on the Internet, but the skill of actually using a microscope is important.

The science classroom has recently been remodel and we have gain the use of our equipment that is ever so aging. The student are interested in doing hands on activities since we are back in to science classroom.

I'm in need of some of the basic equipment for a microscope lab (limited number of microscopes that are in working condition), so the students are able to prep their own microscope slides and sketch the images.

Learning the technique of using a microscope is important. It becomes more meaningful if they are able to prepare their own specimens that they will take a look at under the microscope. It definitely give them a sense of accomplishment and it's very interactive activity.
