Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I'm a teaching fellow. My school is in Spanish Harlem. This is a very disadvantaged neighborhood. Our school is not equipped with technology. We have a computer lab but it's such a big school that most classes don't get time in the computer lab. This year I was lucky enough to have a laptop donated and I'm able to have a computer that works in my classroom. My students will benefit from having more than one computer in the classroom. Every child needs to have access to technology. Please help us make this possible. With computers children can do research on the internet and can create more meaningful projects. With a computer in the class, students could publish their stories and essays. We can do searches for our current projects. Also, we want to set up pen pals with a class in South America. To make this possible we need working computers in our class. Please help kids in Harlem get the technology they need.
