We are a group of fourth graders in a title one school. We are smart, creative, and eager to learn, but we need your help!

Our teacher has been in the same class for 10 years and was given a hand-me-down set of dictionaries. They are a messed up, mish-mash, mix-up of all different kinds. It's hard to have a class lesson, because we are all on different pages, and sometimes the words aren't even there because our dictionaries are so old. We need help, so that our teacher won't go crazy trying to help us with our writing and vocabulary skills.

Since we do a lot of writing in 4th grade, having a dictionary for each student in will help us be better editors. We will get a lot more writing done because we won't be standing in line waiting for the one children's dictionary that we have, or trying to find a word in a dictionary that is too advanced for our age.

We would be so grateful for your donation! We will even use our new dictionaries when we write a thank you letter to you. Having them will help us become better readers and writers and that will help us in every thing we do.
