Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

I teach Kindergarten at a charter school in a high needs community. We currently have a small budget and almost no budget for art supplies.

We have very, very limited art supplies. I do not have any paint or paint brushes in my classroom. I would love to give the children the opportunity to paint and experiment with different mediums. I think art is essential to a well rounded education.

I absolutely need art mediums in my classroom to create a well rounded student. Currently, I only have markers and glue sticks in my classroom. Even these are in limited supply. My students simply cannot express their ideas without art.

My students would be indebted to for this generous gift. It would brighten their day as well as the classroom walls!
