My students need 22 items including ocean themed books, play dough stampers, rubbing plates, puzzles, and other materials for their Project Based Learning unit on Oceans.
Kindergarteners who would rather come to school than stay at home? That is actually the case in my classroom. I teach twenty two fantastic and motivated Kindergarten students in Texas. Although they come from a wide range of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, they share many similarities. Their love of learning is one of them.
My students are so lucky to have the opportunity to be engaged in a program with Project Based Learning. Using this program, teachers use student questions to help them explore different topics throughout the year with hands on learning. In this way, students' interests help direct the learning. My students actually have a chance to learn about what interests them! This makes their learning that much more meaningful to them. One of the topics that we are exploring this year is oceans.
I would love to have more age appropriate ocean materials to help my students explore this subject. This would truly enhance these experiences for my students and make it relevant to all aspects of their learning.
Your help will make it possible for my students to become competent and independent lifelong learners. Thank you for helping to ensure that they enjoy learning--now and in the future!
