I love teaching in my classroom. The windows let in lots of bright lights. There is plenty of storage for me and my students. Best of all are the students who live in the room for 180 days. I am blessed to get to know each of their personalities.

The materials I have chosen will allow me to differentiate the instruction of the students in my classroom in a fun, playful way. The materials will allow for those students who need something other than a book to become successful readers.

My solution is to have small groups of students playing games while at the same time learning a difficult reading concept. What better way to meet the needs of all the learners in my classroom than by providing differentiated instruction. I have requested a Fishing for Partners game that will help students locate and identify context clues. A game called Hazard Mountain will help students make inferences. Lastly, I've requested a complete comprehension kit that will help all levels of learners to analyze text, use literature to develop concepts, draw conclusions, locate facts and details, and to think critically.
