Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

We are a dedicated and ambitious group of public school 4th graders & 5th graders in West Philadelphia serving a high-need community. My request is for a digital document camera. The document camera will enable me to project the kids actual paperwork onto the screen. This allows the students to learn from each other using REAL student work as models and learning tools. It also projects 3-D images which will be helpful and practical for teacher demonstrations. Your help will ensure that my students have the unique opportunity to learn from each others work. This promotes critical analysis skills, diplomacy and the incentive to present their best work!
