Hi from South Carolina! I teach a class of ESOL (English as a Second/Other Language) first graders in a high poverty area.

With budget cuts, our school district has reduced our technology budget by half. Unfortunately, my school district will not be able to purchase me another classroom computer.

My students would love another computer. Another computer would give each student the opportunity to use a computer at least once a day. By receiving this computer, my students will learn to manipulate the computer and Internet with teacher supervision. They will learn how to type up reports, research topics and extend classroom learning. This computer will serve 20 students in my classroom currently and then students that I will have in the future.

Through your donation, you will give children the chance to use a computer for the very first time. This is definitely an experience that will leave a lasting impression on any student.
