Hello! I teach 19 eager fourth graders at PS 34 in Queens Village. My school is wonderful and the children are learning some amazing things, but some of what we can teach them is limited due to funding. I am writing to request a subscription or StoryWorks magazing. StoryWorks is an incredible magazine that will help children boost their reading and writing skills. As a class, we will read the magazine and apply some of the important skills we are learning to the stories within the magazine, such as character traits, making inferences, predicting, main idea and sequencing. With this magazine, the students will get to read fun, interesting material while learning important strategies to help them become better readers, writers and thinkers. I would greatly appreciate any help you can give me regarding these magazines. Have a wonderful day!
