My students need 20 subscriptions to Time for Kids and 20 subscriptions to Weekly Reader.

The future starts with us! What could be a more effective way to building a better Country in the future....well of course by empowering our youth with knowledge to become positive and productive members of the U.S.A. With your support, our dream of subscribing to Time for Kids and Weekly Reader could become a reality. I am a second grade teacher in an inner city school Georgia. I had the pleasure of teaching the same group of students in first grade. The experience was such an inspiring one, that I moved on to second grade with my entire class!
Reading is FUNdamental! My second grade students have taken a keen interest with reading non-fiction literature. And what better way to keep them abreast of current issues and events.....a subscription to Time for Kids and Weekly Reader of course. However, with the recent budget cuts our goal is almost impossible.
Finding developmentally appropriate resources that focus on today's current events and issues has been no easy feat. However, I have found that Time for Kids and Weekly Reader provide facts with a kid-friendly approach. These books will empower my students to better understand political, social and sports-related content with an in-depth understanding. Consequently, my students will have a better understanding of ways to be a positive and productive member of society.
With your support, we can reach our goal of becoming positive and productive members of society. Please help my students do their part by donating the supplies that are needed to carry out this vision. Thanks for considering our proposal. Please support us with our quest to building a better tomorrow.
