I work at a school that does not have very much technology, but I feel it is a very important part of learning these days, so we are trying to do more with technology in our classroom. My 2nd grade students are just beginning to delve into technology and so far they love it! We do not have much technology at this school, but the little we do have they love using.

My students love using computers and any form of technology that they can! They love listening to books on CD or music on an ipod, and they would love to have the opportunity to use a digital camera to take pictures and post online or e-mail to their parents. We are starting to have a school website with class pages and photos, so a digital camera would really come in handy for that.

This camera would definitely help my class because students would be able to take pictures of each other and I would be able to take pictures of them also. I could then post pictures to the web, make digital media for parents, make presentations for parents and other staff using the photos of the students engaged in activities, or send those "special" pictures to parents via e-mail. My students love looking at regular pictures of themselves, and would really enjoy viewing themselves online or on a digital movie.

You would really enhance the technological opportunities that my students have by providing the class with a digital camera. My students are just getting into loving technology and using computers, so having a digital camera will definitely provide them with more opportunities to explore the world of technology. Please help my students create digital media projects by giving us a digital camera for our classroom.
