Color Me Crazy

Creative projects abound in my classroom and my students are in constant need of construction paper to create meaningful and color presentations. We need 50 packs of construction paper. Paper has been used to make body biographies, symbolic representations from novels, posters, and so much more!

I am a teacher in the Middle Years IB Program. My students represent a patchwork quilt of diversity. Their ethnic backgrounds are as varied as their interests. I teach future senators, college sports players, doctors, teachers, inventors, CEO's, mothers, and fathers.

Vibrant and diverse, my students are a creative bunch who love to rise to any occasion and need the materials in order to so. By providing classroom essentials, such as construction paper, my students will be able to express themselves imaginatively and artistically in class. Lessons and assignments that involve markers, construction paper, and other crafts allow me to help promote creative thinking and I am able to accommodate for various learning styles.

It seems simple enough, but objects as basic a glue, scissors, colored paper, markers, and crayons are basic needs that are not always met in the classroom. You can help by providing these necessary, but rare objects.

Any contribution is greatly appreciated! When you donate items to my class, you help me teach the concepts of communal giving, civic responsibility, compassion and the strength of community. There is a famous African proverb that states "it takes a village to raise a child." Thank you for doing your part.
