I teach an awesome group of third graders in a high needs school in North Carolina. My students love learning and are very eager and excited to use technology of any kind. They love our classroom's listening center and using our desktop computers to go on the Internet and use different applications. They have also recently acquired a love of our school's interactive whiteboard.

Our school currently has one interactive whiteboard that is located in our Technology Lab. Classroom teachers are welcome to use it, but there are limited opportunities for us to do so. Technology classes are held in the lab each afternoon and other classroom teachers can sign up for the morning times. Needless to say, the technology lab is frequently in use and it is hard for me to take my students in there to use the interactive whiteboard.

My students and I would love to have our very own interactive whiteboard to use in our own classroom! Technology could be creatively infused into daily lessons in math, science, social studies, writing, and reading. Students will be actively engaged all of the time with this impressive piece of 21st century technology. Engagement and motivation will be sky-high, which will definitely impact student achievement, as well. The possibilities for learning and teaching are endless; having our own interactive whiteboard would be amazing and we would never have to worry about waiting our turn to use the one in our school's Technology Lab!
