I am teaching the third grade this year and my students have created some amazingly creative poems and writings and designed them with tons of imagination. Every month we display our best work on the bulletin board, but unfortunately some of the students in my school (and those who use the school on Saturdays) do not always take as good care of the school as they should. A laminating machine would greatly benefit my classroom because it would protect the students' work on the bulletin board, still allow it to be displayed and would make it so that it would last. Also, many of the literacy centers that I have bought for my classroom would be able to be recycled for the students in my classroom in the fall, as the manipulatives and matching "cards" that come in the set could be laminated, therefore protected and reused. There is a multitude of things that I could laminate to protect and reuse in my classroom, especially classroom materials, like a calendar (with its numbers) that the students use to learn calendar skills with, our weather chart, our word wall and so many other things we use on a daily basis that would allow me not to have to recreate the wheel each year. My class and I appreciate your help this request and look forward to your reply!
