Kids can hop on a heart, walk on a wagon, sit on a sun and more…and master the alphabet letter by letter! I am a Pre-K teacher at a title one low income school. The children in my classroom are More @ Four and EC four year old children. They love to learn and are having so much fun learning the Alphabet.

Every Day we have Circle Time and Group Time in our classroom. The problem is that our floor is tile. It is cold and hard. It is very difficult to gain the attention of 18 four year Olds without a proper place for them to sit. It would be wonderful to have a rug that would give them a soft place to sit and they would be able to learn the Alphabet and letter sounds from it.

Lakeshore has a Alphabet Activity Carpet that would be great to provide my students the opportunity to learn the Alphabet and have a wonderful soft place to sit. The extra-plush, super-soft carpet has roomy squares for every letter—each with an upper- and lowercase letter, plus a bright, easy-to-recognize picture. Kids can explore the alphabet from beginning to end, practice letter recognition and letter-sound association…or just sit on their favorite letters! The nylon carpets meet a Class I rating of NFPA 253 and fire-resistance standards of the UBC…and it also comes with an extensive guide packed with activities.

I'm writing this proposal in hopes to get this wonderful carpet for my students.Our funds are so limited and we don't get the money for anything extra like a new rug. This would be a great addition to our classroom and would benefit many special children for many years. Thank you for considering my proposal.
