"I can't see!" many students exclaimed, as I presented a fantabulous lesson on the Internet. My second grade students are unable to see Internet lessons that would increase their achievement greatly because the big screen TV is too small.

I teach in a high-needs school where visual learning is indispensable. Over 60% of our students are on free and reduced lunch with a high ratio of resource, ESL, learning disabled, and special needs students. The students are from poor African-American, Hispanic, multi-racial, and white families that are labeled the working poor. Most do not have computers or access to the Internet. Their resources are very limited, often causing them to fall behind in school.

The LCD projector will enable students to see the lessons that I spend so much time creating. Being able to use the Internet as a teaching tool will allow my students' eyes to be opened to the outside world and the joy of learning.

You will make it possible for my students to become well rounded learners and to have a chance of leaping out of the circle of poverty that they are in.
