I teach 7th grade language arts in a military town. Our students are faced with a great deal of adversity. Many have one or both parents deployed at any given time. Most have lived in multiple states and attended numerous schools by the time they reach my classroom. Change is a part of their every day lives in so many different aspects.

Military life is tough for everyone involved, perhaps none more than the children. The students I serve are primarily children of military members. They deal with multiple moves, deployed parents, and a multitude of other issues most children never face. In a sense someone keeps moving their cheese.

The book "Who Moved My Cheese? for Teens" would be an invaluable tool for teaching my students to cope with the changes life throws at them on a nearly daily basis. Not only will this book prepare them for the changes they face now (life in a military family, transitioning into and out of middle school, etc.) it will continue to assist them throughout their lives. A number of large corporations are using this book in the workplace, reading it now will put my students a step ahead when they enter the real world.

By donating copies of this book to my students, you provide with the opportunity to learn a lesson they will carry with them for years to come. They will enter the workplace better prepared to roll with the changes faced in corporate America everyday!
