I am a speech-language pathologist who works with students in grades kindergarten through sixth grade with language, articulation, fluency, or voice disorders. Many of my students also receive special education services. I work in a relatively large school with a very diverse population of children.

As a speech-language pathologist, I have many reports that I have to print out. The students have materials that can be printed from software or from the Internet. The printers that we currently have are terribly slow. It takes so long to print reports or worksheets that much our speech therapy time is wasted on waiting for print outs. For this reason, I seldom allow the students to print out worksheets. Also, with scheduling nightmares, there is little time in the day to wait on a slow printer to print out speech-language reports.

An HP Laser Printer would greatly speed up the time it takes to print out reports. I would be able to allow the students to print individual worksheets that fit their needs. They could work on speech/language related projects on the Internet and be able to print out the information quickly. With scheduling nightmares, a fast printer would free up some time to work on additional reports but. More importantly, it would allow me to spend more time with the students.

You could open up the door to a wide range of possibilities for speech/language impaired students! Your help will ensure that speech/language impaired students have the resources they need to overcome their disorder.
