Dramatic Play = Dramatic Day I am a Kindergarten classroom teacher in a diverse, child-centered school. My school and work environment is great! Unfortunately, school funds keep on getting cut and that means many of the none essential things get cut. Sadly for the students things for play barely exist.

My students were given new dramatic play equipment. The problem is they have none of the toys to use with it. We have a kitchen, microwave, dishwasher/stove but no toys to use with them. By receiving the dramatic play toys my students will be given the chance to play, problem solve, discover mathematical relationships and peer relationships. Many of my students spend hours a day playing video games and watching television. For some of the children play time at school is the only time dramatic play is available to them.

My students need play food, dolls, babies, pots and pans, doll houses and dress up gear. By receiving these toys my students will be able to take full advantage of the Dramatic Play Center and having peer to peer contact.

Your help will enable my students to have the Kindergarten experience that many of us have had in the past and an experience they deserve in the present! You will help to provide students an environment where learning is happening and they don't even know it!
