When my students arrive in third grade they are very eager to prove what they know. One way I use this eagerness is in creative writing. I teach in a school with has a high percentage of free and reduced lunch.

The students I teach love to write and try to offer assistance to their peers when writing. I would love to have an ELMO so that my students could see each other's writings during the writing process. Using the ELMO students could view others writings and assist them at various stages.

The main resource I need is an ELMO. I currently have an overhead projector, however I have to go to the main office and make a transparency before I can use examples of students work. This cut into my contact time with my students.

Your help with help my students become more actively engaged in the writing process. When students are able to view each others work they can offer suggestions and praise to the writer.
