Variety is the spice of life and you will certainly find that in my classroom with my students. I teach all subjects in fourth grade in a school with diverse learners as well as diverse backgrounds.

The obstacles my students face are many, however, one challenge is the lack of experiences in their lives. They do not get the opportunity to work with computers and explore research as other students.

I need another computer in my classroom, because now we only have three computers to serve 24-25 students. By purchasing a laptop, I could add more computer time for the students and versatility in the classroom. I could also utilize the laptop for Power Point Presentations during lessons and easier access to on-line teaching opportunities.

Your help with this laptop would increase my students' time researching topics of their interest. It would also enable me as a teacher to provide more on-line activities and experiences. Students would also be motivated with the addition of a portable computer in which everyone could use for many different purposes. Some of the purposes could include word processing, research, and basic computer skills.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
