Greetings! I am a 9th grade Learning Strategies teacher for an inclusion program. It is my duty to help my students with disabilities to achieve academic success with in the general education arena. Our school houses 3,200 plus students. The budget is tight and we have limited resources. We need your support!!!

Picture the most creative, student facilitated, educational videos you have ever seen. Picture the students creating and directing scripts. Picture them singing, acting, and dancing as a kinesthetic means of demonstrating knowledge. Visualize them debating, then reviewing. Imagine them presenting, critiquing, assessing and evaluating. Now picture them using technological tools as a catalyst for learning.

The use of a hand held camcorder in class would be an asset that is conducive to student learning. Students will be afforded the opportunity to explore and gain insight from the various ways its media can be transferred. They can also use what they learn to share their creativity with the world by uploading information on Youtube.com, Teachertube.com and other websites used for educational purposes.

You hold the power to provide my students with a necessary tool that will be used throughout the year. Your generosity and support will in turn empower them to creatively express their knowledge. Ultimately, they will be able to step out of their seats, step in front of the camera, and step into learning. PICTURE THIS!!!
